The New District 39

As you may know, 2022 is a redistricting year. This means that legislative district lines have been redrawn and some communities may find themselves represented by a new State Senator. To my new constituents: I am so honored to be your Senator and I look forward to getting to know you and listening to your ideas over the coming months. My door will always be open to you as your representative in Albany.

Flip your ballot and VOTE YES on Prop 1/New York Equal Rights Amendment

You can learn more from the New Yorkers for Equal Rights Coalition website.

BALLOT LANGUAGE:

Proposal Number One, An Amendment – Amendment to Protect Against Unequal Treatment

This proposal would protect against unequal treatment based on ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex, including sexual orientation, gender identity and pregnancy. It also protects against unequal treatment based on reproductive healthcare and autonomy.

A “YES” vote puts these protections in the New York State Constitution.

A “NO” vote leaves these protections out of the State Constitution.
